Colonial Games at Middleton Place

July 5

Children of all ages can try their hand at period games like rolling a hoop or walking on stilts. They can also play with spinning tops, yo-yos and more. This is a great family day to top off the fourth.

Pizza Making Class with Chef Paola

July 7

Learn how to make Frannie’s famous woodfired pizza alongside Chef Paolo Rossin. This fully interactive cooking experience will have you slinging pizzas like a pro. Located in The Den, this intimate 10-person class includes meatballs, a choice of salad and all the ingredients to make the perfect pizza. This class is only held once a month, so secure your spot now for either the 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. time slot.

Storytime Under the Oaks at Middleton Place

Geared toward children aged 3-5, we invite you to join us for an hour of fun with animal stories, crafts and a meet-and-greet. This interactive and hands-on hour is a great way to inspire connection and curiosity.

Mahjong 101 and Open Play at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens

Dive into the world of Mahjong with our Wednesday Mahjong Series, held in the Magnolia Gift Shop, featuring both guided lessons and open play opportunities. New to Mahjong? Marsha Patel will guide beginners through the fundamentals, teaching you the basics, strategies and rules while you practice with chic, colorful tiles in a fun and welcoming setting. Party at the Point

July 11 & 18

Party at the Point is back to celebrate 25 years as Charleston’s premiere Happy Hour Concert Series. Taking place Friday evenings until July 18, don’t miss Charleston's only beach party. This family-friendly event is hosted on the beachfront of Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina and features live music and plenty of food and drinks. Gates open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m.

The Dinner Detective True Crime Dinner Mystery Show

Charleston Caribbean Jerk Festival

July 19

The 10th Annual Charleston Caribbean Jerk Festival returns Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Riverfront Park in North Charleston from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The festival is a family-friendly event that celebrates the best in Caribbean jerk food, culture and music. The top chefs in the Southeast will “bring it” to claim the title of Top Jerk Chef 2025.

Beach Drop for Sea Turtles

July 20

Join Coastal Expeditions on a special beach drop to the south end of Bulls Island to explore a wild beach where Loggerhead sea turtles nest. On the boat ride to the island, Coastal Expeditions naturalists will share information about Cape Romain NWR and some of the endangered and threatened species it protects. On the island, you’ll get a glimpse into the program as Captain Chris leads an interpretive walk down the shoreline. It’s an opportunity to understand the responsibilities of the turtle volunteers who work from dusk to dawn to protect this endangered species.

20th Annual Sweetgrass Festival

The annual Sweetgrass Festival in Mount Pleasant is designed to promote and bring attention to the contributions of the Gullah Geechee people’s history, culture, traditions and sweetgrass basket art form which originated in Mount Pleasant. Additionally, the Sweetgrass Festival provides an opportunity for engagement, interaction and exposure to the Gullah Geechee people’s culture. Informative and interesting educational sessions will enlighten and entertain participants of all ages. Free admission!

Convergence: The Saxophone and Piano

Visiting all the way from Italy, Caroline Leigh Halleck is no stranger to the Charleston music scene. Having performed for New Muse Concerts, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and the Remington Concert Series, Halleck returns to the Lowcountry with Greg Hankins, a collaborative pianist from the University of Georgia. A blend of soulful saxophone and melodic piano, the musical prose of their combined talents blurs the line of musical style and genre. Moonlight Mixers

Dance the night away under the stars at the Folly Beach Pier during our one of our Moonlight Mixers! Advance tickets are $10 per person. Day-of tickets are $15 per person if the event hasn't sold out. On-site tickets, if available, will only be sold via credit card. Workshop Paper Marbling in the Bindery
